Hi there, I'm Jody

teacher, therapist, coach, facilitator

If you're on a journey to reclaim connection to yourself while also connecting with others and the world around you, you're in good company.

WELCOME!

connection: our birthright

As social creatures, we seek balance between authenticity and belonging throughout our lives.
Renegotiating that balance, particularly at times of crisis, change, or uncertainty, is crucial to our access to aliveness.

I'd love to work with you

Group Facilitation

There is something generative and powerful about collaborative engagement and learning. If you value the collective wisdom of groups of people and are seeking support on your healing journey, check out in-person and online groups. And if you're looking for a facilitator for an event, message me.

Counseling

As social beings, many of our wounds are tied to relationships. Our healing unfolds in relationship, too. I am a pre-licensed social worker, working under supervision in WA. My specialties include developmental trauma and religious trauma, and I would be honored to support you on your healing journey.

Coaching

Coaching centers on connecting people to resources and supporting skill building. My areas of specialty in coaching include supporting you as you reimagine your relationship to scripture, untangle the impacts of purity culture, or develop practices that help you live into your values day by day.

I am committed to work that is

collaborative

You are the expert in your own experience. The space between us is co-created, and I believe there is depth and beauty there when we are affected by each other.

open-hearted

We are conditioned to harden our hearts as a protection. I am committed to context-appropriate vulnerability and showing up with a soft, pliable heart.

dynamic

As relational beings, our healing journey is ongoing. There is no arrival. My hope is to honor that unfolding, and hold space for change and adaption.

integrative

We are so often reduced to one aspect of our being—what we do, what we look like, etc. Here we celebrate interconnectedness and embrace wholeness.

Letters to My Daughter

Since my daughter was born, I have been seeing the world anew through her eyes. As someone who had experienced life as something you push through, like dense fog or cold molasses, I never expected becoming a mama to ease that weight. But it did. Seeing the world anew through my daughter's eyes is like being apprenticed to wonder, to the audacity to love despite the risks.

Reclaiming Connection

There is a tension that is a common part of human life: we want connection and at the same time we are scared to show up as our full selves or put ourselves out there in seeking connection with others. If you are seeking companionship in navigating this tension, check out my Substack newsletter, where I explore the ebb and flow of connection, disconnection, and reconnection through metaphor and reflections on everyday experiences.
